Zirconium oxide (ZrO₂) is a natural mineral raw material of zirconium oxide, mainly baddeleyite and zircon. Zircon is a deep-layer mineral in igneous rocks, with colors of light yellow, brownish yellow, yellow-green, etc., with a specific gravity of 4.6-4.7, a hardness of 7.5, and a strong metallic luster. It can be used as a raw material for ceramic glaze.
Application:
Used in making machinery parts,structural ceramics such as knivers,tools and watch cases,as well as bio ceramics,functional ceramics and other high-tech ceramics.

Main uses
1. Zirconia: Mainly used in piezoelectric ceramic products, daily ceramics, refractory materials and zirconium bricks, zirconium tubes, crucibles, etc. for precious metal smelting. It is also used in the production of steel and non-ferrous metals, optical glass and zirconium dioxide fiber. It can be used as an efficient high-temperature thermal insulation material.
2. Zirconia fiber: In the fields of atomic energy, it is used for ultra-high temperature thermal insulation and protection materials and ceramic-based composite reinforcement materials; in the fields of ceramic sintering, metal smelting, high temperature decomposition, semiconductor manufacturing, quartz melting, etc., it is used to manufacture ultra-high temperature industrial kilns, ultra-high temperature experimental electric furnaces and other ultra-high temperature heating devices that are resistant to high temperatures above 1500℃; it can also be used as high temperature filter materials and high temperature reaction catalyst carriers, as well as inert fillers for plastics, rubber, latex, etc.
3. Used as an inert filler and extender for plastics, rubber, latex, etc. Suitable for hoses, tapes, molded products, extruded products and shoes, etc. It is also used as a filler for epoxy adhesives and sealants. It is also a common raw material for the manufacture of ceramics, enamel and glassware.
4. Used to manufacture functional ceramics and structural ceramics, or as grinding materials.
5. Because of its high refractive index, high melting point and strong corrosion resistance, it is used as raw material for kiln industry. Piezoelectric ceramic products include filters, speakers, ultrasonic and hydroacoustic detectors, etc. There are also daily-use ceramics (industrial ceramic glazes), refractory materials, zirconium bricks and zirconium tubes for precious metal smelting, etc. It is also used as a pigment in steel, non-ferrous metals, optical glass, zirconium dioxide fiber, and cosmetics.
It should be stored in a dry warehouse and should not be stored or transported together with strong alkaline items.
